About Measured Science
Most science news picks the most exciting claim and skips how sure anyone can be. We report the science accurately and try to make it a good read anyway.
How we work
- We read the whole paper. Every article is written from the full study, obtained legally.
- We rate claims, not papers. Each article opens with an evidence label that rates what the study found and, separately, what people are saying it found.
- We name the overreach. When coverage or a press release went further than the evidence, we say who said what, factually.
- Strong results too. At least one story in three is a strong result explained well. Otherwise readers would learn only that science is overhyped, which is its own distortion.
- Every article teaches something. Each carries a short lesson on how science works, and ends with the open questions the study can't answer, and the experiment that would.
- AI drafts, the editor approves. Articles are researched and drafted with AI, and the editor reads and approves every one before it is published. Our editorial policy explains how.
